Serious offset from mark to tip renders product unusable for illustration
Wow. I'm a very longtime Wacom faithful and have used their products exclusively for almost 15 years now, and wow, they really whiffed it with this product. It's just nowhere near market-ready. I ordered this stylus directly from their website (I'd have ordered it here, but Amazon did not have the orange one available and I didn't want to lose the stylus in my fleet of metallic and steel-colored pens and pencils) and charged it for a few hours before eagerly setting out to test it.
Boy was it a disappointment. What others have mentioned about the offset is true, and it is maddening. It's so off that it is completely unusable. This offset appears despite having followed the suggestions Wacom has repeatedly pasted into others' reviews here on Amazon. Some reviewers have questioned whether the offset is limited to Wacom's own Paper app, and after testing it in 3 other apps, including Procreate (where palm rejection almost never works), I can attest: the offset is universal.
I wish there had been reviews up for this product when I purchased. I made the mistake of following a TechCrunch recommendation, whose legitimacy I now question categorically.
The palm rejection is nice when it works, which is sporadically. Even if that worked brilliantly, however, the significant offset of the mark (more than 1/4" away from the stylus tip, in some cases) renders the stylus completely unusable. I am shocked they released this product and will be returning it post-haste.
