I wanted to really, really like this. I read the reviews about how hard it was to put together and thought, "gee, I may be an old lady, but I'm rather mechanically inclined - how hard can it be?" and ordered it for my 45 lb. Border Collie. The material and color were great and all but the last leg went together easily. I both followed the directions and even looked up the Coolaroo web site and watched their video on how to put it together a couple of times. The frustrating part was the last bolt I tried to put in (leaving the other three just partially inserted as per the directions) was defective. I didn't know why I couldn't get it to grab the threads inside the pole. I then asked my handy man who was here doing another project to try -- he couldn't do it either, looked at the bolt and showed me how the bottom threads on the bolt weren't as they should be. I went to Home Depot and bought a bolt that I hoped would work and that didn't work either. I could even line up the holes and drop the screwdriver into them to make sure they were aligned, but as I was doing this by myself when I pulled the screwdriver out and tried inserting the bolt the blasted thing would shift a bit. I tried over a period of a couple of weeks when the spirit moved me as I really wanted it to work. I finally just gave up and sent it back to Amazon. I understand it has to be tight, but even with my Home Depot bolt I couldn't push the last leg down (per the video) to create the tension. It was just too much trouble.
