We bought this so we can start potty training our daughter. The assembly instructions were very limited (1 small page with just pictures of the parts), but we managed to assemble by trial and error in about 25 mins. We adjusted the height for our toilet but immediately noticed it is NOT very sturdy and the entire ladder/toilet slips sideways on the floor and on the toilet. We put a toilet mat under it so that the feet would have something to grip onto other than the floor. But still, the top half of the apparatus has NOTHING other than gravity to keep it steady, so it easily slips sideways and tips when weight is put kn one side or the other. There should be some sort of adjustable clamp on the back so it can be clamped onto the toilet but there isn’t- just tiny slippery plastic/rubber feet that do not grip on the porcelain of the toilet. Because of this, we had to hold the toilet seat on both sides while our daughter tried climbing up it and it STILL slipper around and was VERY unstable. She was very scared of the unsteady ladder and seat and will not use it. This product is a safety hazard by itself. Perhaps if someone wanted to make customizations to it or add some sort of straps (not included) they can find a way to stabilize it. Just got instructions from Amazon/the seller that I need to dis-assemble it and bring it to a UPS store in order to get a refund. Waste of time and money!! Unsafe!!
