Not wider in toe box and less cushioning overall
I returned the shoes. Each year, I hope that Asics will bring back the old design but each year I am disappointed. Not only are these still tight in the toe box, but they no longer have the cushioning that made the Asics Nimbus such a soft ride. I will continue my search for a replacement brand and style.
