Good coffee ruined by frustratingly poor quality k-cup
I really wanted to like these given the price and the coffee itself turns out to be pretty decent. The one thing I wasn't expecting to have problems with was the cup itself...
Something is different in the plastic used to make these cups compared to the name-brands. When you put the cup in and close the handle 90% of the time the bottom needle does not puncture the bottom of the cup. The needle actually pushes the bottom of the cup inward instead. The plastic seems to need more rigidity. In order to get the cup in properly you have to press down in with your thumbs on either side until you hear the bottom needle "pop" then you can close the handle.
The seal on the cups is also bad. It doesn't happen as often as the problem above but occasionally there will be a blowout somewhere along the rim at the top of the cup during brewing. Whenever this happens your coffee cup fills with grounds.
For me the problems above are too frustrating to be ignored in lieu of the lower price. If they can fix the cup quality issues then I'll be back for more.
