This crib turned out to be perfect for our nursery! It is the perfect size for the room and is actually bigger than i thought it would be. Plenty of room for the baby to grow into it. I used the Dream On Me 6 inch Full Size Firm Foam Crib and Toddler Mattress and it fit perfectly with absolutely no gaps. I was worried that their might be gaps because the size listed for the mattress and the crib were a lot different. I was expecting a decent size gap and got pretty worried, but like I said there are absolutely no gaps at all. The mattress fits perfectly. The 6 inch mattress is perfect because it puts the baby at a height that you can comfortably reach in and get him/her. I am 5'5" and was worried that the mattress would be too far down for me to reach in, but you will see from the pictures I post that the mattress is at a great height. I definitely suggest a 6 inch mattress if you are short like me because the highest height of the metal mattress frame isn't very high at all. I put it together myself and it took me a little more than an hour. I must say it was kind of difficult to put together by myself though, trying to balance pieces off the floor in order for the holes to line up was hard. I gave it a 4 star instead of a 5 for a couple reasons. Not all parts were labeled, so it took me a little bit to figure out which piece went to what. And also, the leg that is on the front right of the crib what off colored. I thought it was dirt at first, but it wouldn't wipe off and another piece had a small, deep scratch. I contacted Amazon and let them know the problem. I told them I would rather keep this crib instead of having another one sent, because the leg that is damaged faces the wall anyway, so it isn't noticeable. Amazon gave me a partial refund for my trouble. Great customer service! And that is why I continue to buy things off of Amazon!! Overall I am extremely happy with how this crib looks in our nursery! I am attaching pictures of how the mattress and crib look together and the pieces that were damaged. Hope my review helps someone! Edit: March 7, 2019 Our son is almost 2 and we are still Loving this crib!! We bought it well before conceiving and it has suited our needs perfectly from the very beginning. Our son is 22 months, around 24/25 lbs and between 35-36 inches. This bed is still great for his height. He has so much room to move around. My only regret is that I didn't buy the conversion rails to turn it into a full size bed because it would be perfect for that. The dream on me mattress that we bought is also still holding up great!
