The item worked fine after purchase but now it has since injured my arm. When attempting to take my blood pressure, the cuff inflated, detected my heart rate (as though it was working) but then continued to inflate to the point of pain. And then screen started flashing fast like it was malfunctioning. it then deflated and asked for the date time etc. It completely failed. This happened twice. I'm afraid to try it again.Edit: After posting this review, the company sent me a replacement unit which I received around mid September. Now 3 months later, this new unit is malfunctioning in the same way. Changing the batteries did fix the issue but the device never gave a low battery warning. SO the 1 star ranting stays. It squeezed my arm so hard this time that it left bruises.
