I received an almost unfinished wooden product here... the box is misaligned when closed, though opens reasonably flat. There is very little surface lacquer on the board, it is quite rough to the touch and has some sharp edges with splinters. I got poked by a sharp staple or nail sticking out hidden under the thin black velvet cloth interior. The pieces are equally unfinished, very rough texture to the touch, some of the pieces have small dents from tools dropped on them, and the "felt" on the the pieces is literally as rough as sandpaper,some so lumpy the pieces wouldn't quite sit flat. A bit sloppy staining, including brownish drops of stain on the board in places, and on many of the white pieces, and inside the box there are greyish glue drips on the black velvet. While individually these things might be small, all of them together lead to a really substandard product for the price paid. I think I would rate this higher if it was closer to $10. Not sure it is worth attempting a return, maybe I will re-gift it.
