My love for America's Test Kitchen runs deep, so when this cookbook came out I bugged my local library to purchase a copy. I am so glad that I borrowed it before I bought it because I was so incredibly sad with the recipes. My slow cooker is a cooking machine and I don't mind a little pre-cooking (heck, I don't mind a lot of pre-cooking), but I will not stand for canned soup, packaged dry mixes or (the horror) cheese sauce! There is a bounty of amazing slow cooker recipes on the internet for free that do not contain any preservatives, high sodium, or just plain crappy ingredients. America's Test Kitchen what happened?
