Too expensive for what it is, mine broke within a week.
EDIT: I was contacted by someone in Orders who is providing fine support and should be sending a replacement part. Support is still an issue though. It took nearly a month for anyone to respond to my request for assistance, and it was not at all intuitive on how to request customer support on their website.
EDIT2: Once the ball got rolling with customer service everything was resolved quickly. Although when i suggested a simple change to their website that could help other people like me in the future they just gave me instructions on how to do it on their current site... Not that that would help me or anyone else. I get the feeling customer service isn't a priority to them. They replaced the broken part and gave me a backup as well. Not sure if i'm going to use the device again or not though, when it broke the first time i almost lost keys... Not sure if i want to risk that again.
I didn't want to leave a bad review for this product. I committed myself to using it for at least a week so that i could get used to it before writing about it. The worst part about this is that i dropped my keys during the course of this week, just as i was getting used to it's form factor and one of the expander pegs broke. This $20 purchase is now useless and i can't find any customer support numbers or emails to contact them to try and get a replacement part. I tried emailing their PR guy and 5 days later i have yet to hear a response.
The good things about this product:
- It does keep your keys from jangling around
- Makes it easier to locate the key you want
- Looks and feels great
The bad things about this product:
- $20 is way too much to charge for something like this IMO
- It takes some getting used to, finding keys with one hand takes practice, and it changes the leverage on your keys when you use them.
- It will only hold 2-4 standard sized keys
- Beware if you put your car key on it, i found that it gets in the way, there's little room between my steering column and my leg.
- Not very sturdy, mine broke after a moderate fall.
- No intuitive way to contact customer support, their website only has contact emails for sales, and PR. There is a phone number but it calls an individual's Verizon Mobile phone with no voicemail.
In conclusion, it's a great idea but it isn't as practical as i had hoped. The item can be fragile and is dangerous for your keys if it breaks (no telling where your keys will fall!) and it's way too expensive for what it is, i wouldn't expect to pay more than $10 for this item at the very most.
