I was very pleased when I received this toilet seat. It felt solid (compared to the plastic ones), and it was easy to install. Fast forward three months. I sat on the toilet, and felt it crack underneath me, pinching my butt in the process. The crack went all the way through the wood seat. (Of course, it was beyond the return date.) When I lifted it, I noticed that it only had 2 cushion strips on the bottom, so it supported my weight toward the front, but not toward the back. I immediately ordered a different brand (Bath Decor), and noticed that there are four cushion strips on the bottom of the seat, which distributes the weight more evenly. It was more money, but you get what you pay for!
