In a nutshell: If your food saver comes with a hose (4000, 5000 series, 3920, 2435, etc), skip this kit and just buy the wide mouth piece separately. You won't need the accessory hose and it appears the regular mouth is nothing but trouble. ✫I'm using a FoodSaver 3620. Similar to the 4000 series but not as large. ✫Heres a direct link to the exact jars I bought that worked perfectly with the kit: Ball Half-Gallon Jars, Wide Mouth, Set of 2 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MRFVML3?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf ✫I thought I needed the accessory hose which is why I bought the kit over just the wide mouth adapter (which seems to be the only one that works per reviews). ✫ At first I thought, "oh no, This doesn't work with my Food saver" since I couldn't figure out how to attach the accessory hose in the kit to the one on my unit. Silly me, I didn't realize that all I needed to do was remove the clear plastic part on my stock hose to expose the little gray nub that fits perfectly in the hole on top of the mason jar sealer. ✫ I only have wide mouth jars and for those the wide mouth adapter works perfectly. My lettuce looks just as fresh 1 week in as it did 1 day.
