Great but can burn a hole in your skin!
i had been using Oreganol by North American Spice Co, with no problem. but i wanted a product that was NOT diluted with carrier oil. i received this a few days ago. like a fool, i applied it directly to my skin. i have some skin tags on my neck, around my arm pit, on one side of my stomach and under my large breasts. soooooooooo . . . i have heard you can rid yourself of skin tags with this stuff and i have a patch of scaly skin on one of my temples which will not go away. one nite i put this straight from the bottle (don't yell i know i'm a fool and deserved what i got) on my right temple, rubbed a couple drops under each breast, put some on my neck, my stomach and around one of my arm pits. it started to burn immediately, but i thought it would only last a few seconds. NOT! oh my God!!! picture a raggedy looking chicken with its head just cut off, running around in circles, flapping it's wings and squawking nonstop. that was me, except i was also trying to lift up my breasts and blow on them at the same time. i'm really glad no one was home at the time. i hopped, i flapped, i yelled, i cried, i ran through my house fanning my body. help!! the tears came immediately which i had no control over. the first thing i did was get a towel and wipe under my breasts. oohh ahh oohh ahh owie ouchie help help help! BURN BURN BURN BURN BURN!!! i had to wipe wipe wipe then wipe again for any relief to come. i wiped it from each spot i applied it to. it did take about 30 minutes before i had any relief from the burn. i was so traumatized i thought i was going to have a heart attack! but.... on the positive side, the skin on my temple is now peeling and i have given myself a very tiny mini spot of face peel. i've heard somewhere that people have ended up with third degree burns from putting this undiluted on their skin and i totally believe it. i will NOT ever put this straight onto my tender skin. i will always dilute it. i did put 3 drops into a glass of water, with a couple teaspoons of Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar and honey and it went down ok. much stronger in the mouth than the Oreganol. i chased it down with a spoon of honey and that made it all better. i did feel a slight burn and still do, internally, and it's about 4 hours later. i like this so much better than the other brands and have LEARNED MY LESSON. please do not put this directly on your skin without diluting it. i am going to try again to apply to skin tags, but diluted this time. if they go away, i'll try and update and let you know. Wow! what an experience that was. UPDATE - after only a few days, most of my bigger skin tags are turning black and getting 'crispy'. i've only put this oil on 3 times, put a band-aid over each one for 24 hours. i know some of these will fall off in another few days. YIPPEE, that was my ultimate goal!
