After my right thumb going numb, having neck pain, and getting an MRI, I found I had herniated discs in the C5-C7 area. I work in health care in the rehab sector and many therapist recommended this unit. Against my doctor's advice who seen no benefit in traction, I purchased this unit and glad I did. After 6 weeks of using this unit about 5 days a week my numbness disappeared, and now a year later I have almost no neck pain. I also lightened my work out routine, but am convinced this unit played a big part of my recovery, and will continue to use it as a maintenance routine.
