Very Yummy! May be Carcinogenic
12-29-18 Update:I contacted the company. They are not organic. The gentleman who responded to my email was so defensive about my request to know if glyphosate (RoundUp) was used in harvest that I suspect it is. He said that glyphosate was not forbidden by the WHO so they are free to use it even though the WHO lists it as a probable carcinogen. Who cares what field it was grown in if you don't know what chemicals were used on it? I am so disappointed because I love the taste and texture of these lentils, but I will not. buy them again.
Probably the best tasting lentils I've had in my seven decades of enjoying lentils. Because of the Food Alliance certification and non-GMO certification, I set aside my usual requirement of organic.certification.
7/24/16 Just received my second order of these tasty little lentils. Must force myself to use up the lentils I already had in the pantry before my first Palouse purchase, but they just do not measure up to the Palouse Brand lentils. Palouse brand is consistently delicious, in addition to all the nutritional benefits of lentils. I am thinking of sending five pounds to each of my four siblings as a Christmas gift. They are sent in this wonderful little burlap bag that dresses them up. (I store in glass jars, however, in a dark pantry.) What? You think a box of fancy cheese would be better?
