You keep reading horror stories about hand held vacuums. Not enough suction, weak construction, crappy batteries. It took me three weeks to pick something I could live with. I don’t think I made the wrong choice. Sure, you get what you pay for. It doesn’t have the sucking power of an Electrolux Silverado. But it does exactly what I intended it for. It sucks up flying bugs inside the house, which I can release back into the wild. Moths, spiders... Spider webs... Dusting book shelves... I’m very happy with it. PS... slight glitch. Just got off the phone with Black & Decker’s parts service. Replacement filter HNVCF10 for this new model won’t be available for at least a month, or even longer. How & why B&D would start selling a new product without the one component needing frequent changing ready to go is bizarre, but there you have it. Guess I’ll be washing this filter very carefully... PS2: Formal written reply from B&D “That is correct, this is a new product and the filter is not available to purchase at this time. We would suggest you check back with us in a few weeks and you can place an order at that time. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.” Fascinating.
