Reading previous reviews I thought it would be helpful for others buying the product to understand that this is specifically a pranayama bolster. It is smaller than a typical restorative bolster because it is intended to be used for lying down breathing practices. Your hips rest on the floor and the bolster supports the spine - you place a folded blanket under the head and neck to elevate and support the head. The shoulders should drop back a bit. This allows for open and free breathing for various prananyamas. If you are looking for a restorative bolster this is not it (although it can be used for other purposes - eg: under the knees).
