I just got this cooler and even though I read some reviews about people having problems with the hinge screws, I ordered it anyway. While I was waiting for the cooler to arrive, I ordered longer stainless steel screws for it along with some repurposed fire hose Igloo hinge replacement material from Amazon (see picture below). When the cooler arrived, I removed the hinges, drilled out the holes a little bit and hammered in the plastic wall anchors. I cut one of the replacement fire hose hinges in half, lined up the hinges and screwed in the longer screws. The screws are now extremely tight and the hinge works fine. You're welcome from this 63 year old lady, lol!
