Before I review and compare my new S6MaxV to my S5 I purchased and used in late 2018. I want to reccomend you purchase only from Roborock’s official store on Amazon. I received my S6MaxV, three days after paying. The discount online retailers take 6-8 weeks to arrive. In case you don’t know, Xaiomi is the “Apple of the East” with cutting edge technology and premier quality. Back in 2018, I searched for and purchased a Xaiomi S50 online from a company in Hong Kong. I was upset when a vacuum arrived 6-8 later with the name “Roborock S55”. A quick search revealed it was an original Xaiomi S50 with its new US / European marketplace name. The S55 was for Europe and had a 220V plug. No big deal because the seller included a plug convertor but I waited nearly 2 months to receive it! That wasn’t worth the small savings and had I had a problem, would have been a nightmare to return. Review: The Roborock (Xaiomi) S6MaxV is a noticeable upgrade to my S50 from 2018. It has more vacuum power and rivals my older Dyson tradition vacuum cleaner on Hardwood floors. It’s that good! The AI and the stereo 3D cameras really help to Solve the number one problem all robot vacs have, getting jammed up with items dropped on the floor. From Shoes to Sh**, the S6MaxV avoids obstacles better than other Robot I have seen. It’s a high tech solution to a hard to solve problem. It has a new Mopping Sytem that I have not tested but looks like it’s a major upgrade to my S50. I really didn’t use very often on my S50. The Roborock S6MaxV is worth the extra money, just as a vacuum cleaner. Here is what I wish they would change for the next model release: 1) Easy user swap batteries. A home over 2500 SQFT would really benefit from a swappable Battery 2) Optional external dust bin blow out base station, like the other brands offer.
