I’ve been lulled by the convenience of amazon for things like pruning shears, but more and more I’m realizing a lot of this stuff is junk with artificial five star ratings attached to it. These Fiskars shears were an amazon choice with high ratings so I tried them. When I took them out of the package and squeezed the handle the shears did not return to the open position, but remained stuck closed. That’s kind of a necessity with shears. I’ve attached a video of me operating them out of the package. Clearly the return spring is undersized and the locking mechanism is loose. Chinese junk. Time to return to the old fashioned method of going to the hardware store for stuff like this.
