This book and the other couple I got were awful. I feel bad writing a bad review but I think it is so important because if you have a child with issues that you specifically sought out these books, or a child who is young and learning and you want to help keep them on a positive path, for these are not it. The book is SO NEGATIVE, almost the whole thing goes through every negative situation with constant negative language and no dragon this and no dragon that... SO all it does as your child is reading is causes them to focus on the dragons negative behaviors, because that's all there is!!! You want to have a positive approach and focus on positives and doing the right thing. Had the dragon made a mistake and it was immediately corrected and showed the right thing to do by the boy this book would have been great!!! Instead it's constant NO DRAGON to everything and the dragon just seethes with anger. Your child will likely identify with the dragon and think it's ok because the negative behaviors are just focused on SO MUCH! I didn't even want to donate them I just trashed them because I don't want other kids reading this constant negativity as well. And I think there were the words this is bad type stuff. Children are not bad, the dragon is not bad, it is ONLY the behavior. If you want to make your struggling child feel rotten then buy this book. This is not helpful in anyway will only compound the problem by making them feel worse. It does not empower and encourage the right behaviors IT ONLY focuses on bad behavior. Also there is like an advertisement page for author on back page, looks really cheap. The positive reviews must be written by authors friends bc the book is not only bad but will likely cause child to feel/ or act worse because only the bad behaviors are focused on so much. It's awful.
