Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

I purchased this tire to replace the OEM tire that came with my high end mountain bike. The reviews looked good, and the price was right. Tire performed great for 3 rides of about 15miles on hard pack fire roads. On the 4th ride, tire exploded on me. It tore just slightly above the bead. I quickly contacted Maxxis for help. Sent pictures in. 3 days later, they asked me to mail tire to them for additional inspection. Then a week goes by (after they received it). I continued to follow up with them (politely), and finally received my reply ..(3 weeks after opening my claim later) "NON-warrantable failure- tire was punctured." I'm sure you can see from my picture.. That is not where you take a puncture! And from hardpack?? Not at all likely. Needless to say.. Some other company gets all the business for my 5 tubeless bikes from now on. Shameful. I've read this failure in several other reviews as well.
