Deja vu anyone???
I really wanted to like this book, especially after the blurb in the back from the author about being self published. I am a sucker for the underdog. I cannot figure out if it was Hatchett's intention to come off as cliche hating and misogynistic but after countless "american bastards" "cow(s)" and "bitches" I started to seriously wonder if I was reading a book or a high school story by a teenage boy. Then you add in rape and descriptions of old men getting erections. Ugh, just gross.
I appreciate the techno-geek but it was disconcerting reading pages of it then transitioning to a tangent storyline that was slow, confusing, and unnecessary. Not to mention adding characters in that were completely undeveloped and shallow.
To top it off, parts were ripped directly from "Taken" starring Liam Neeson. Really?? Sorry Mr. Hatchett, better luck next time. ALthough I cannot say I would even bother. Thank goodness for Kindle Unlimited, I would have been pissed if I paid for this book.
