Doctor tested, doctor un-approved
Hello there, @mfkp here, expert roach reviewer. Today I am here with a scientific test of the Hot Shot Roach Killer. Hot Shot's claims (printed on the packaging): - KILLS IN HOURS - KILLS BOTH LARGE & SMALL ROACHES - GUARANTEED TO WORK, OR YOUR MONEY BACK Sounds promising! Let's test it out. Note: Amazon only allows posting of one video, but you'll have to trust me that the screenshots/timestamps are from real videos. To start the test, I trapped a roach inside a Tupperware container, along with a fresh, newly opened Hot Shot pod (instructions followed closely). A camera was set up to monitor roach activity. The test started mid-day Aug 9, 2021. "Roaches killed in hours? This should be quick," I thought. Hours turned into days, which turned into over a week. This roach didn't want to die. You would think a thirsty/starving roach would at least try the Hot Shot cocktail. But alas, it did not. Fast forward to August 18th, we still have roach activity on camera. Doing the math, this seems like a little over 9 days. This was the final activity captured. It seems to me that the roach never even tried to eat/drink this product, and just died of lack of water. Maybe the roaches around here are just too big to fit inside? Regardless, it should not be advertised as effective against large roaches if it is not. My scientific conclusion to this experiment is: "FAIL". Although maybe it would work for small roaches. Someone else will have to test that. Signing off, @mfkp
