Purchased this product 5 weeks ago. Currently it is not working. The power light which should be on is blinking and the machine will not shred. Have used the troubleshooting info that came with it without success. Have attempted to contact the company by e-mail and the e-mail address does not work. (yes, I double-checked that it was entered correctly) I rarely give poor reviews but this is totally unacceptable. I would absolutely avoid this product. Update 5/31/18: I have raised my review from 1 star to 4 stars at this time. I finally reached the company and have received a replacement shredder. The increase is due to their excellent customer service. Once I reached them, they responded promptly with suggestions and ultimately replaced the defective shredder. At this time I am cautiously optimistic and hope that the previous shredder was an anomaly. The shredder is working as described. Very quiet. Update 10/10/18: I really wanted to like this machine but it has now done the same thing that the first one did. The shredder has not had a hard life but it has died. I would ABSOLUTELY AVOID this machine!
