Boo, hiss.... :-( For approximately ONE month, I absolutely LOVED this little iron. I was using it to prep shapes for hand applique using the starch and press method, so I never even once filled it with water or attempted to use the steam function -- just used it for maybe 30 minutes or so on a daily basis, on the medium heat setting. I loved the diminutive size and shape, perfect for working on small fabric pieces at the mini-ironing board station I set up on my kitchen counter... But then the Teflon coating started melting off the bottom of the iron ONTO MY FABRIC PIECES!!! EEEEEEKKKK!!!!! This resulted in grayish silver smudge stains that may not come out in the wash. Totally unacceptable. And since this is sold as a travel iron, not a craft iron, I can just imagine some poor business traveler trying to press a white dress shirt before a big meeting, getting gray/silver Teflon melted all over his shirt in the hotel room. Uncool!
