The big benefit of this product is controlling additional lights. It's specified-on pages 42-45 of the manual when you receive this product. (see attached pictures of those pages) It says the ring camera can operate external lighting up to 150 watts. I bought this to control my RAB FFLED52 floodlight which draws 44 watts, and puts out nearly 6000 lumens of light to cover my entire driveway. Well, it worked perfectly for the first few minutes, until RING automatically updated the Camera with new firmware and SHUT THE FEATURE off. Nobody at RING support even knows about the feature. You have to tell them to turn to those pages in the manual. After many calls with a lack of information, RING support now says the feature has been shut-off, and is no longer supported. NOTE: This product has been out for over a year! The feature has been in the manual the whole time. It still is! All information in this review has been substantiated to me by Ring support staff.
