Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

I saw the great reviews of this item, and bought one. It's a simple device. You attach the locator to a key, press a button on the transmitter and the locator is supposed to beep. How hard is that? They don't work. At least not so they're useful. Each would beep, but only sporadically. I even put in some of the new batteries that come with it. No change. Why shouldn't it beep every time you press the button? That's the only thing it's supposed to do. Since it doesn't beep when you press the button, when you actually lose your key, how are you supposed to know if the locator is simply not beeping, the battery is dead, or the the key is just not anywhere within earshot? I really wanted this, so just in case I got a defective set, I returned it and got a replacement. The exact same thing happened. I returned that one too. I don't usually write reviews of stuff I buy on Amazon, but this was such a horribly disappointing experience, I felt it I had to warn others.
