HGTV Meets Hipster Chick in Salem
Your usual intent-crystal-incense garbage. It smells suspiciously like a marketing machine trying to sell decor and social acceptance to Witches. Ha. As if. Nice color photographs, though. If you really want to transform your house with witchcraft, try my suggestions, instead: (1) Walk around your house naked until you accept the beauty of your body. (2) Take your television to the roof. Throw it off. (3) No electricity usage one or two hours before retiring for bed. Use candlelight. (4) Learn to control your entire house, what enters it, what exits it, from your doorstoop. Any old Witch Mother can tell you how. (5) Acquire a familiar spirit. (6) Read poetry aloud in your kitchen. (7) Put on drum music in any room and dance for the Great Mother and the Lord of Life. (8) With the $20 you would have spent on this book, buy a small birdfeeder for your backyard, and some seed. The photograph of the author on page 11 (black dress, laughing, not looking at the camera, in front of store shelving) should be captioned: "LOLZ@readers. My magic worked! I successfully appropriated and commercialized a minority religious impulse , repackaged it as home decor, and sold it to you in book form! Now come buy from my ye olde shoppe!" Also, please note that this book came out last month (February 2019), and the market already appears to be flooded with used, discounted copies.
