I'm afraid I have to join the "you get what you pay for" group. I wasn't expecting the world for the lesser price but I used the vacuum 11 times and the roller brush stopped working today. It's a small apartment and the vacuum was new. I did appreciate that the noise level wasn't that of a 747, but the consistent falling over of the unit while using the wand, was maddening! It even fell over when the wand was simply being replaced. The hose seems sturdy but maybe too much so. And for the record, the wand use was for edge cleaning, not overhead balancing acts. I bought the vacuum after using my friend's, because initially it seemed to work well, and again the noise level was appreciated. But unfortunately, NOT worth even the lesser cost. I'm 51and have met several vacuums. I'm not in the habit of product bashing, but, sorry shark people...I'm done...and so is my friend for the same reasons.
