When I first came across this product on Amazon I thought it was the miracle I was hoping for. I often travel abroad (12 hour long flights) alone with an infant ON LAP. Not so much.... Here is why: 1- It's hard to set it up with the infant already on your lap (again I travel alone). 2- Even if you baby's head is below the marked line, If the person in front of you reclines their seat it might squish your baby's head! It happened to me twice and made me VERY NERVOUS the whole flight. 3- Even if your baby is small enough to fit in this seat, once the person ahead of you reclines their seat, the space in front of you becomes very tight and uncomfortable for you and baby. A tip for those flying with INFANTS ON LAP: I found that just putting a flat standard size pillow across my lap made things much more confortable. Baby can sleep on the pillow and you can still have your hands free during the flight. Also some planes offer the option of having a bassinet hooked to the wall on bulkhead seats. I have also seen some couples lay a baby basket/travel bassinet across their feet on bulkhead seats. Just a thought! Anyways... for an airplane seat it did not work for me. But as a high chair harness it works great!
