Rather flat. Maybe good for a scrunchy pillow, that you like to wiggle up into the curve of your neck, but this is not a supportive pillow. Not that I assumed it would be firm. I bought a soft density. But, the fill is next to nothing. Kind of embarrassing, because I was going to put them in my guest room. I think it looks better in the photo than it is.
