God awful show that has nothing to do with anything actually written by Tolkien
I tried to give a more measured response months ago, but the review has evidently been deleted. At best, this show is banal, bland, and intelligence insulting. At worst, just stupid. I suppose I have some bias, as I have been a huge admirer of Professor Tolkien's work, but even viewing this as a generic fantasy show, it was just bad. Poorly directed, acted and most especially written, I can't believe how much money gets thrown at these things these days.
