We bought this unit because we have a townhouse and our garage is under the main level. Pros - very very quiet, lots of cool features like Timer To Close so if you forget to close your garage you can set it to automatically close after a set time of your choice. Cons - seriously questionable reliability. This thing worked fine the first week we had it installed, but by week two it wouldn't respond to the remotes or open so we had the installers come out again. They said it just needed the sensors adjusted and that I could do it myself the next time. A few weeks later, again, it wouldn't open nor respond to the remotes. Had them come out again and they did the same thing along with spraying the tracks with WD40. It worked for a few weeks before it would intermittently not work. We had this unit about 4 months and it finally died with an error code 15. AGAIN, we had the installers come out and this time they changed the circuit board. After that it worked. We had to reprogram all the remotes and the garage door monitor we have in the kitchen. All the remotes were programmed okay but the garage door monitor could not be programmed to the unit. AGAIN, we had the installers come out and their answer was to replace the entire unit.... We have them here today (the day this review was written) and we will see the outcome. On another note, unfortunately I went against my gut instinct when I purchased this unit. I read the reviews on many other websites and this unit did not have very high reviews (all due to reliability issues) but my dumb@$$ fell in love with the technically gizmos this unit had. Shame on Me!! Luckily this thing has a manufacturers warranty of 5 years but I do not know if I will wait that long. We are having the installers come out today and if this thing gives us one more problem, thats it, we will be giving this unit back and get a completely different model.
