A mechanical engineer, I was impressed with the design initially. About a week of being totally impressed with the headset, I put it on one afternoon and noticed it was cracked in the middle of the curved section of the headset. Even though I remember being careful putting it on and off, I immediately thought it was a design flaw. I thought it best to return it (giving Motorola the benefit of my doubt). Perhaps I wasn't as cautious as I thought. I returned it to Amazon and immediately received a replacement as requested (great customer service). About two weeks of occasional use and very cautious handling, (putting the headset on and taking it off), the replacement headset snapped in two just like the first! It didn't actually "snap", it fractured/broke in the same place as the first headset. Unfortunately there is an inherent design flaw in the curved main body of the headset. and it will continue to break in the same way regardless of the user. I have not sent the last one back to Amazon as I kind of feel I should have known better. If someone at Amazon or Motorola reads this review and offers a refund, I will be obliged to take it although I would be honored to revise the design and fix the problem permanently. Other than the problem of snapping in two twice, it's a great headset...........lol!
