To be honest... I watched EVERY poly gel nail kit video that exists on youtube. I had a really great feeling about this adventure and that I learned from people's mistakes. I had a really good feeling about this Beetles kit and was prepared for an evening of "girl time". ok, I set up my little station, had my nail forms picked out and my little light set up. The kit, by the way, is packaged very nicely, the product looked good, the light was a little crappy, but everything looked "professional" quality. The poly gel itself was very tacky so using alcohol worked perfectly. BUT too much alcohol made it too moist and it would stay on. After about 45 mins, I got my left hand done. I was impressed!! It came out just like on the videos. My nails definitely needed some shaping, but overall they looked nice. Then I started to file. THEY ALL BROKE OFF! as you can see in my picture, they broke off and left a mess! By this time I'm over an hour in and my nails HURT!!!!!!! I clipped them all off and went to the nail salon. For the $37.99 this kit costs vs $40 at the nail salon, please have them professionally done. Use your time in the chair as your getaway from your daily stress. Doing it at home was a nightmare. I hope you listen, gurl.. because no one could talk me out of buying this kit <3
