If I could go less than 1 star I world..... When it first arrived it looked to be exactly what we were looking for. Solid, built from cast iron, kept the tea hot until finished, and way more than enough... About a month out we noticed it was leaving black spots on the counter, didn't think too much of it and simply bought a trivet for it. Then, about 2 weeks later, after using it, my wife wiped the inside out with a clean paper towel. Something she had been doing on a daily basis since it arrived. The paper towel came out BLACK, very black.... Considering that this rather expensive tea pot has only seen the green tea that my wife loves so much, this became an instant concern. It's never been through the dishwasher, never been heated on a burner, never had anything but hot water poured into it and then wiped clean and rinsed with hot tap water and allowed to dry when finished. Black - as in the finish is coming off!!! No Idea what the finish is made from, but having it come off in your tea can not possibly be a healthy thing. -dhs
