It probably works somewhere ... but not in a nice room or in contact with laquer-finish flooring/laminate
This applique-type draft stopper is difficult to apply with precision and installation can easily fail. The packaging comes with no instructions and one might assume it's just "peel and stick." No. The first hazard is making sure that you measure and VERY accurately cut the length of the strip. If you cut even slightly of a straight line, the finished project will look terrible on the end you cut. The second hazard is that you get one chance to stick this thing on. One mistake and it won't stick anymore. Third hazard is the height at which you apply this product (space between lower edge and floor). The picture shows the product pretty much making contact with the floor (hence the split edge at the bottom), enabling a draft-free seal. However, I applied this product making light contact with a smooth/shiney laminate floor. As one swung the door open, the product inflicts a squeegee-like SQUEEEAAAK!! on the floor. Very unpleasant from living room to basement, so the only recourse was to leave a slight space between the lower edge and the floor, thus partially or completely neutralizing the draft stoppage. Purchased this product because of high customer review. Product is now in my trashcan.
