Don't do it..
I was really looking forward to this purchase for a few months. I kept putting it off for other things. And now that I have it, I wish I didn't have it. I'm extremely disappointed and frustrated. Packaging is horrible for something this delicate. A thin shipping box with no reinforcement inside with the hamper wrapped in a thin piece of plastic. Of course it's damaged (see pictures). That's not the part that frustrated me however. What does frustrate me is the fact that the box nor the plastic it was wrapped in, is NOT damaged. So, this tell's you that whoever placed the item in the shipping box did so KNOWING the item was damaged. It's very obvious to see. Other things I noticed about this product to be aware of. The lid is exceptionally solid and heavy compared to the overall hamper. But, the actual hamper "look", I don't like. There's a wave/dents (or bubble effect?) on the front of it (see pictures). I'm not sure if it's supposed to be this way, but whatever the material actually is, is flimsy to the say the least. It should be a smooth overall surface all the way around, not dented in certain areas. I can only imagine when it's stuffed with dirty laundry that it would warp and bow out over time. It almost seems like there should be a hard plastic liner of some sort to pull in and out of the hamper, but there isn't one? At any rate, if you value quality items that are functional that you expect to last - I mean, $60+ for a laundry hamper should realistically be the last hamper you'll ever need, right? - this product is not it. Glad I still have my 5 year old $10 Rubbermaid one in the meantime. You've been warned and given an honest review.
