We have been devoted Maxi Cosi customers since 2007 and have used them for all five children. We got the Pria 85 for our last two littles and needed to replace them due to a car accident. (The seats performed beautifully during the accident by the way and my 3 month old stayed asleep through the whole thing!!) Car seats must be replaced after an accident and of course we would continue with Maxi Cosi. This time we decided to try the new 3 and 1 thinking it would be an upgrade. IT IS NOT!!! Sure, It feels nice with all the infant padding in there but as soon as you remove that; there's almost no comfort left at all. And you can clearly feel every curve of the plastic frame underneath the cover. The cup holders are ridiculously small; if we would have kept the seat, I would have had to replace all of our sippy cups. And on top of those two inconveniences we couldn't get it mounted properly in our large expedition that previously had no problem with the Pria 85. We returned them almost immediately and instead ordered the Pria 85 Max direct from Maxi Cosi at a sale price of $220 each. That seat is in a completely different league; a thousand times better than this one! Better quality fabric, better comfort, more stable infant inserts (it's stable foam rather than just a pad), magnetic chest clips for convenient one hand unlock and an appropriate sized cup holder.
