Don't buy this scanner. Get one with a keypad so you can find and enter the freq's you need at radioreference.com. The Public Safety transmissions here are 800mhz. Description on this scanner states it will receive PD/FD/EMS within that freq. range. First you have to allow the scanner to search from 806 to 956mhz so it may find your desired agencies. This willl take a LONG time since there are many interference freq's you will be locking out then you have to try to catch a transmission on each freq. in your area so you can put them in your private bank, again no keypad. Twenty minutes and I was fed up pushing lock out and getting nothing and I mean not a single transmission, in any of the banks! This is when I began researching and found that this scanner will not receive an 800mhz TRUNKING radio system which our agencies here use. Would have not wasting my time if that had been included in the sellers Description/Features. It's going to be my first returned item.
