Failed in 4 weeks. Faulty dispensing button design dooms this bottle to premature failure.
Really wanted to like this but total engineering failure. I've had this mug (12 oz version) for just about 4 weeks. Have used it 6-8 times, once or twice a week. Dispensing button will no longer stay on post = broken and useless. I expect any replacement will also fail unless Stanley comes up with a redesign on the lid.
Failure: The dispensing button on this item is a plastic button press fit onto a post protruding from the internal mechanism. Between the button and the lid there is a spring. This keeps pressure on the spout seal by pushing out on the button, which is just a press fit on the post. so 24-7 this spring is pressing on a slip joint. Mine failed very quickly 1-2 uses a week, 4 weeks. button pops off during use and will no longer stay on it's post. Horrible design. the spring should be internal and press directly on the spout seal, rather then relying on a press together slip joint to transmit the force.
Pluses:
• nice classic hammer-tone green finish.
• top comes apart completely for cleaning.
Minuses:
• slight off-color taste in latte from plastic.
• Lot of parts in top, some with lots of holes and crevices to clean
• Faulty dispenser button design results in premature failure.
• Dispensing spout flow is pretty slow.
