I bought this because I needed a rolling seat for sit-down machine maintenance the day after this arrived. I chose this over less expensive models because it had a higher weight rating, hoping I was buying a nicer-built unit. I don't know if this is nicer than the cheaper ones but I was disappointed. I feel like there's no safety margin put on the alleged 450lb rating. There's no bushings on the pivots to prevent the bolt threads from being damaged, it's just the edges of thin wall tubing resting on the bolts. The seat stops were welded in at the wrong angle, preventing the seat from going horizontal, they stopped the upper seat at 30 degrees from flat. I tried to force it horizontal and bent one of the pivot bolts by hand using only the leverage of the seat. The bolts had no markings on them, meaning that they are probably the cheapest steel bolts they could find. Because I didn't have the time to return this, I cut the welds of the seat stops so I had a seat for the next day's job. I also found some rust under the stops. I couldn't tell if that's just because it was between steel parts, or if the manufacturer powder coated over rusty steel. The cushions were pretty thin and squeezes flat too easily. It's better than nothing, but even the thicker part looks much better in the photo, it looks and feels unimpressive in person. The wheels are very nice. I'll give it an extra star for that. It seems like they spent all their money on the wheels.
