Third use and it's toast. (Sadly, I missed the return window). Just whizzing up some raw pistachios with a bit of water and the center stem somehow melted/fused into the clear plastic lid. Motor works, but this is simply a poor design which allows the blade portion to be pushed upwards by food items -- plus the lid doesn't fit in a terribly secure manner, and its integration with power "button" is awkward, at best. I've routinely made use of mini-choppers for years for finely chopping nuts, oats and other small batch food processing items. This was supposed to replace my old 'mini food processor' which was a Braun hand blender attachment (loved it!). So disappointed in the performance of this product. Update 07/20/17: And "good luck" taking up any issues with the manufacturer. From Spectrum Home Appliances: "We received your email however we do not warranty items purchased from third parties on Amazon . You would need to contact Amazon or the seller directly for any/all warranties." Oh, geez... (The upshot is that as this was a "3rd party vendor" - purchased 'through' Amazon, but not 'from' Amazon - so the seller holds the warranty. If you contact them by directly messaging, they can honor that warranty by extending it to you the final consumer.)
