If you are a fan of continuity in stories, skip this one. I'm just a few chapters in and it's Monday night and all the eligible men in Buttermilk Falls will be at the bakery. But it's not Monday night! It's Wednesday Happy Hour on the next freaking page! But I continue reading on anyway. Wednesday night means it's the Summer Fling where women bid on men they want to have a summer fling with. But, oh no, the bachelors are all gone and poor Emma wasn't interested in any of them. Wait! The reporter who is going to write a story about Emma's magical cupcakes decides to jump on the stage and put himself on the market. Emma, can't stand him but she bids anyway and gets the bidding up into the thousands (What, really?) This author needs to get herself an editor and/or someone who will be honest with her. There was a lot of promise with this, but it doesn't work as written. This book was free, but I still want my time back. I've warned you. Don't do it.
