★★☆☆☆
Convenient features but poor quality
Overall, there are things I like about this and things I don’t. Pros: -Quick and easy assembly. This is basically completely assembled when you take it out of the box. You just have to cut off some zip ties (used to prevent shifting during shipping) and then choose if you want to put on wheels (which having a locking feature) or pegs. You simply screw it on and then tighten it with a little wrench that comes with it. I chose to go with the wheels since it would make it easy to move around the room. -The folding feature is really nice for storage or transportation. I think this could be ideal for college students. When folded, it is 5.5 inches tall, so it fits underneath my bed. -The standing mechanism is pretty easy to use by yourself. You just squeeze up and pull on the side handles and it raises it. You have to pull up evenly on both sides otherwise one side ends up being higher than the other, but it is pretty simple to do and readjust even if you mess it up. -This has a lot of cool features all wrapped up into one desk. Cons: -The height of the desk in its lowest sitting position is higher than most desks. I had 2 office desk chairs, which I raised to the highest level, and I still was not able to create an ergonomically comfortable or correct position. My elbows were much lower than my wrists. I am 6 foot, so make sure that if you get this desk, you have a chair that can raise higher than normal. -The table top locks into place by lining up a little hole on the bottom of the table with a peg on the left arm/side of the table. Unfortunately these are not lined up too well, and I have to apply a good amount of force to pull the arm/side of the desk into alignment with the table top. This has already left a few small chips on the underside of the desk. -Another locking mechanism that holds the table top in place when pulling the desk into standing mode fell off after 2 days. It’s not a big deal since I can just hold the desk firmly while pulling up, but it was still disappointing. Overall, this desk comes with a lot of cool features, but the poor quality and odd sitting height is not practical for my needs. This would probably be good for a college student apartment, but not something to keep in your home for years. You get what you pay for.
