You DO NOT NEED THIS. If you still have the old Summer Escapes pump, simply leave it mounted to skimmer/filter assembly. Attach hose from the old pump to the new pump. DO NOT PLUG IN OLD PUMP!!! Water will be pulled through old pump automatically. Our SE pump burnt out on a hot summer day, I brought the Intex KrystalKleer 1500mph pump which has the water going directly to the pump housing then the filter. The advantage of hooking up to pumps like this is that you can use the skimmer basket on the SE pump as usual and filter the water twice with every pass through. Works great, but remember, operate only the new pump and NOT both. I cut the cord off the old to save confusion.
