From Someone That DOES NOT WORK For Monster
Okay, let me clear up a couple of things; I do IT for a living; I live and breathe Information Technology, and I also keep up with new and up and coming consumer electronics, along with everything else in between. Now, you may be wondering "All 5-star reviews; this must be a great product.", but as Obi-Wan once said "Your eyes can deceive you. Do not trust them.", don't trust the reviews about this product. The 5-star reviews are CLEARLY people who work for Monster and are PAID by Monster to write great reviews for their product. Monster is a company that sells HIGH-PRICED HDMI cables, along with HIGH PRICED headphones, and every HIGH PRICED consumer electronic out there. They fool consumers to think that "Their product is different from that cheap $5 dollar HDMI cable because their cables have advanced engineering, they send the digital picture faster than the cheap HDMI cable..." Blah, blah, blah. Let me break it down; with HDMI, the picture quality and sound is sent in 1's and 0's; if you can see the picture and hear sound coming from the TV, the HDMI cable is good; it doesn't matter if it is the $5 dollar one, or the HIGH-PRICED over $100 one. Their is no gray area with HDMI; it either works or it doesn't; it's that black and white. Monster is in the business to sell you, the consumer, high priced things that they claim "you need for your HDTV home theater". You don't need expensive cables to see the best picture on your TV. Monster will claim that their cables get the data to your TV faster. Well, here's what I have to say; if you were to compare this cable (which runs at the range of 1Gbps to new cables running close to 10Gbps) and another $10 dollar cable that runs at the SAME SPEED, their is no difference in picture quality or sound quality. This has been COMPARED on MANY consumer electronic websites on the internet, and they will tell you the same thing; their is no difference between this cable and a cheap one; the only difference is if you want a Monster cable, you better plop down that high-end credit card, as for the cheap one, just go to the ATM, and take out $20. That's my two cents.
