My husband mentioned how much he enjoyed his morning Nespresso at work so we decided to buy one for our home. We received our Nespresso Vertuo on Thursday and sadly discovered that it had a cracked water valve. (The plastic was completely cracked and leaked all over our counter.) We contacted Amazon right away and a replacement machine was sent to us 2 days later. Now, upon opening the replacement machine, we noticed a small scratch near the water valve. (See pictures) We tested the tank and didn’t see any water leaking from the area. We’re going to run a test to see if it’s an actual crack or if it’s just a surface scratch. I will update this review at a later time and indicate whether or not it proves be an actual cracked area. Either way... it’s perplexing to have to deal with this before even putting the machine to use. -_- I’m not sure if this is a manufacturer issue, but it’s HIGHLY DISCONCERTING to spend over $120 on a machine (plus another $100 on pods) that arrives in this manner. I’ve done some research online today and saw numerous posts with similar leaking issues on the Vertuo line. Seriously?!
