You get what you pay for. I wanted a smaller cast iron pot for baking small round loaves of bread. On product page this pot is rated good to 500F. In the Quick Start guide that came with the product it states "Product is oven safe to 400 degrees F". Amazon customer service is trying to convince me right now that of course the product is safe over 400F. If it is, why the discrepancy in information? The price did seem to good to be true. Oh Well. Should have known.
